In association with Focus Activities, Alter Rock brings you the opportunity to climb outdoors in the Peak District.
Focus Activities, based at Oakerthorpe near Matlock, has been established since 1991 and offers a wide range of outdoor activities.
A chance to climb on the Eastern Edges of Froggat, Stanage, Burbage, Birchens, etc where some of the best climbers in the country will have served their apprenticeships.

This exciting progression of climbing from indoor to outdoor will provide participants with a 5 hour instructed day on natural grit stone in the Peak District National Park. The instructor will select suitable climbs for the group and set up a top anchor rope system from which the group will climb in a top rope situation.
Each person will have the opportunity to tie each other into the system, climb, belay, tag the rope and descend and assist the descent of each participant. These component activities will be at all times supervised by the climbing instructor.
All this for £50.00 per person, including all kit hire, instructed services, insurance and transport. If you have your own transport there is no discount.
Participants will need to bring their own lunch, a suitable drink and wear appropriate clothing.
Full payment at reception is required at time of booking,which is non refundable. If you have to cancel for any reason you will be able to book another course at half the price.
