Route Setters
Rob Napier
As soon as he left college Rob went travelling, and then lived in Spain for a year or so. Rob is really into surfing now but says he is still inspired to climb harder.
Rob started climbing at age 13 and grew up climbing in the peak district. He has 14 years of experience climbing
and is now climbing all over the UK and Europe.
Rob has been setting for nine years in various walls and on comps.
Rob has built walls and features, his favourite climbing venue is Malham Cove.

Steve McClure
Steve has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and used this in work for seven years before packing that in to become a full time climber.
Steve now works as a route setter/ coach/ writer/ lecturer/ staff trainer
Favourite crags – Malham/ Pembroke/ Llanberis/ Verdon
First climbed aged 0, All trad up to 25 years old – Pembroke/ Wales/ Lakes/ Peak.
Since 25 Steve has climbed a mix of sport and trad plus some big wall and bouldering.
For the past few years Steve has climbed mostly sport.

Tom Randall
Tom is mainly a route setter but also coaches privately and also for the British team.

Tom has been climbing for 13 years (unlucky for some!) and has climbed all over the world from Yosemite to central India.
Tom says he loves trad climbing more than life itself, although he's still up for bouldering, big walling and sport climbing. Tom has climbed 8b, E8 and V11

Mark "Zippy" Pretty
Mark has climbed since 1974 when he was 12 years old. He has climbed up to trad grade E6, onsighted sport routes up to f8a and redpointed f8c. Mark has also climbed font 8a bouldering problems.
Mark has put up lots of new routes in the peak district especially at Ravens tor and has done new routes at Aksu Valley, Kyrgyzstan.

Harry Pennells

Harry is currently setting all over the country as well as delivering instruction and coaching sessions.
Harry started climbing at age 15 and exclusively trad climbed, onsighting only. After a few accidents soloing he turned to bouldering and sport climbing, however he says he can feel traditional climbing calling again
