Ben started climbing with the University of Derby Mountaineering Club (UDMC) and became hooked back in 2008. Since then he has climbed all over the Peak District, at climbing walls in the North and South and has climbed in North Wales.
Ben says he's not a grade chaser nor is he particularly competitive, he climbs for fun and personal achievement. Ben also does a bit of freelance outdoor instruction.

He came to Derby to study and become a professional Industrial Designer.
Ben has always been adventurous, he's into mountain biking, most board sports, hiking, camping and the outdoors.
