At Alter Rock we understand that many groups and organisations already have outdoor instructors in place who may wish to bring groups to the centre and we are more than happy for them to do so.

Although booking is not essential for these types of groups we do ask that you let us know when your planning to come along so that we can ensure we don't book too many groups in at once so that you'll have plenty of space on the wall.

Groups bringing their own instructors are charged at the following rates:

Entry Under 18's: £4.00 Per Person
Entry Over 18's: £7.50 Per Person
Harness Hire: £1.00 Per Person
Climbing Shoe Hire: £2.00 Per Person
Belay Device (1 between 2 people): £1.00 Each

There are no charges for instructors, supervisors or spectators.

Any instructors wishing to bring groups to Alter Rock must provide photocopies of a recognised National Governing Body award certificate (Climbing Wall Award, Single Pitch Award or higher) and an up to date Fist Aid certificate.

Independent instructors are not covered by the centres insurance and should ensure that they are suitably covered.
