Indoor climbing at Alter Rock is a unique and exciting activity for teenagers in Derby. The Youth Club is available to people of all abilities. Both Friday and Saturday groups have a great mix of boys and girls, beginners and experienced climbers.
No previous climbing experience necessary, our instructors will teach you all of the skills needed to climb safely indoors and help each individual progress as far as they want to go in the world of indoor climbing. All youth club members will also have the opportunity to work towards the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) which can be counted towards some GCSE syllabuses.

All climbers are required to register with Alter Rock, registration forms of under 18’s must always be signed by a parent or guardian. Parents of climbers aged Under 16 must visit the site before signing registration forms.
